Car Insurance Infiniti (Car Insurance). Cleaning cylinder head gasket surface?Cleaning cylinder head gasket surface? This is on a 2 cylinder, 2 stroke, water cooled, outboard motor. There are 2 gaskets in the head that I'm replacing, both were blown and pieces of which are sticking to the 4 surfaces of the head. What's a good way to clean them? They are aluminum. Can I use a razor to scrape them, or a wire wheel on a drill, or some oven cleaner? You're not going to like what you should be aware of but the surfaces should be checked for flatness and re-machined if necessary at an engine machine shop. If the engine is apart, the cylinder jugs should be checked and re-machined also. Razor blade and oven cleaner, the drill and wire wheel can leave deep gouges in the metal that the gasket can't seal. just used only sanding paper # 400 or #600 then rub manually to the surface both head and the cylinder block aluminum can be tricky to clean like that. i think that i would use a brass brush to minimize the damage. I've been looking around on Google but nothing useful is showing up.the questions are "what are the positive and negative design impacts of designing a car from wood or other nontraditional materials?" and "what makes a car aerodynamic? what innovations are being made to make cars aerodynamic? why is the improved aerodynamic capability of automobiles so important?" if you could just give me a a website or something that would be so incredibly helpful so i could answer these questions and write a summary that would be so helpful. especially since ive been working since 10 this morning and have yet to find anything useful. thank you so much =) car insurance. Infiniti . How to Change Rear Brakes on a 2005 Mercury MontegoThe 2005 Mercury Montego is Mercury's midsized sedan. The Montego was built on the same platform as the Ford Five Hundred and shares many common features, including four-wheel disc brakes. Performing a rear brake job on a 2005 Montego is a fairly straightforward job that can be accomplished in a few hours by anyone with basic auto repair skills and a few tools. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Wheel chocks Safety glasses Lug wrench Floor jack 2 jack stands Drip pan Brake clean Socket set Screwdriver Replacement rotors (optional) Dial indicator (optional) White lithium grease Caliper piston tool Replacement brake pads Torque wrench Step by Step : 1 Chock the front wheels, put your safety glasses on and use the lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts on the rear wheels. 2 Slide the floor jack under the rear end and jack the vehicle up until you can support it on the two jack stands. 3 Remove the left rear lug nuts and wheels by hand. Put the drip pan under the brake assembly and spray the brakes down thoroughly with brake clean. 4 Remove the caliper retaining bolts with the socket set and pull the caliper up and off the brake rotor. Set the caliper in the rear suspension so that no stress is placed on the brake hose. 5 Pull the rotor off by hand. If it has never been removed before, you will need to break the tin washer off that is holding the rotor down on one wheel stud. Discard the washer once it's off. You can snap it off by prying on it with a screwdriver. The washer holds the rotor on the vehicle during assembly at the factory and is not needed once the Montego is fully assembled. 6 Slide the replacement rotor onto the spindle and hold it in place by threading one lug nut down onto a stud. If your rotors are more than 2mm above the minimum thickness, you can have them machined at a local machine shop or auto repair facility for a small fee and then reinstall them instead of replacing the rotors. The minimum thickness is stamped on the rotor hat. Use a dial indicator to measure the rotor's current thickness. 7 Pull the retaining clip off the back of the caliper and remove the old brake pads from the caliper. Spray the caliper slides with brake clean and lubricate them with white lithium grease. Push the caliper pistons back into the calipers with the caliper piston tool. 8 Insert the replacement brake pads, reinstall the retaining clip and slide the caliper back down over the rotor. Reinstall the caliper retaining bolts with the socket set. Remove the lug nut you installed in Step 6 and then reinstall the wheel and lug nuts. 9 Repeat Steps 3 through 9 on the other side. Step by Step : 10 Lower the Montego off the jack stands with the floor jack and then tighten the lug nuts to 75 ft/lbs of torque with the torque wrench.
Infiniti . How to Change the Rear Tire on a Suzuki GS500The GS500F is the latest incarnation of Suzuki's famous GS series of motorcycles. The GS offers race bike styling and is easy to ride, making it attractive to new riders. The GS500F is also easier to maintain than purebred sport models, allowing its owner to perform a majority of the routine tasks necessary to keep the bike at its peak. However, tire replacement is a commonly misunderstood procedure for the untrained rider. Luckily, with a few tools, nearly anyone can remove and change the GS500's rear tire. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Pliers Breaker bar Socket wrench and sockets Swing arm stand Tire irons Tire Soap and water Step by Step : 1 Remove the cotter pin from the rear axle with a pair of pliers. Use a breaker bar to loosen the rear axle nut, but do not remove it yet. 2 Lift the rear end of the motorcycle off of the ground with a swing arm stand. 3 Loosen the chain adjusters on both sides of the swing arm with a socket wrench and push the rear wheel towards the front of the motorcycle to loosen the chain. Slip the chain off the rear wheel's sprocket. 4 Remove the rear axle nut and pull the axle out from the swing arm and rear wheel. Take note of the order and locations of the spacers and washers on both sides of the rear wheel. 5 Roll the wheel away from the motorcycle and place it on a pair of wooden blocks with the brake rotor facing downwards. Remove the valve core with a core removal tool and allow the tire to deflate. 6 Break the tire's bead with a bead breaker and push the tire downward. Insert a pair of tire irons between the tire and the wheel, placing one in an 11 o'clock position and the other at 1 o'clock. Press down on the tire irons to stretch the tire over the rim. Remove the 1 o'clock tire iron and place it in the 3 o'clock position. push down firmly to stretch the tire over the rim. Repeat until the first lip of the tire has been removed. 7 Push the remaining lip of the tire against the edge of the rim. Insert a tire iron between the tire and rim and push firmly until the tire pops off the rim. 8 Lubricate the rim with soapy water and slip the edge of the new tire over the rim. Stretch the first lip of the tire over the rim using a tire iron. Press the tire downward until the remaining lip touches the rim. Pull the tire onto the rim with a tire iron. 9 Set the tire's bead by inflating the tire with an air compressor. Two loud pops will indicate that the bead has set. Allow the tire to deflate slightly and insert the valve core. Reinflate the tire to a recommended tire pressure and reinstall the wheel on the motorcycle. Tips & Warnings Do not attempt this task if you lack the necessary tools; have the work performed by a properly equipped technician instead. How much power has the sagaris got?
Mercury Tracer. * really very important because it can increase the life of your points. In the package with your new points, there may be a little capsule of cam lubricant. If there isn't any, you can buy a tube of it very cheaply. Then follow these steps: 1. Take a little bit of cam lubricant on your index finger and wipe it around the sides of the cam wheel (see Figure 12-31). Use the lubricant very sparingly. You don't want lumps, just a nice greasy finish on the cam wheel only. If you don't lubricate this wheel, your points could burn out very quickly. If you use too much, the stuff flies around inside the distributor when the wheel spins and fouls things up or causes your points to burn. Because your points open and close very fast (at around 12,000 times a minute when you drive a V-8 engine at 60 mph), you can see why the lubricant is necessary and why it tends to fly around if you're too generous. You want just enough to make your cam wheel lobes slide easily past the points. Figure 12-31: Place only a small amount of Infiniti . Where are the relays for the gauges on a 1994BMW 3 series?
